New Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard

The new operating system Mac(A1185) OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard has already sold 5.6 million copies within weeks of launch. A hit , even for unexpected company in Cupertino. Sales have almost doubled compared to its predecessor (Leopard ) and quadrupled compared to Tiger. But the real battle will be held a month or so, when will be on store shelves also house the new creature of Microsoft , the much acclaimed Windows 7. We'll see.

Meanwhile let's enjoy the new Mac OS analyzing all the news. We start from the beginning: the installation. Less disk space required and the procedure 45% faster than Leopard (Max X 10.5). Really bad. The kernel , the heart of the OS, is 64 bits, used mostly in servers, while in 32-bit home systems will remain to avoid incompatibility, but also because , let's be clear , it is useless for a home user to have 32 GB of memory (this is the advantage of 64-bit kernel ). Other important features : support for connecting to Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 , support for a theoretical maximum of 16 TiB RAM ( stuff from " Back to the Future !). QuickTime X for optimized codec modern , optimized for Safari 4 JavaScript and HTML , technology and engine SquirrelFish Nitro. Space to parallel programming with the Grand Central Dispatch : developing applications for multi-core processors will be much easier. Also new is the OpenCL ( Open Computing Language) through which you can create programs using the GPU (Graphics Processing Unit or processor video card ) and then exploiting it for non-graphical operations.

Improvements for the Security: The Snow Leopard integrates a feature that alerts you if it is downloading from the Internet or trying to run virus software and loaded into memory is allocated at random to avoid any type of computer(Sony VGP-BPS9/B) attack. Even the GUI had its fine retouching. Cupertino engineers have done a great job. To support the marketing of safe were also prices , very competitive.
Just $ 29 to upgrade a single computer(Toshiba Satellite A100 battery) the new version of Leopard , $ 45 for a family pack (5 locations ) at the time, for a single update to Leopard it takes more than 100. That this is the right time when Apple is able to beat the fierce competition of Redmond ? Expect to see "Windows 7 ", and then draw our conclusions.
Minimum System Requirements issued by Apple for the proper functioning of MAC OS X 10.6: Mac computer(A1189) with an Intel ( IA32 Processors such as " Core Solo " and "Core Duo " will be limited to 32-bit , x86 processors with next -64 will be able operate in 64-bit mode ), 1 GB of RAM , 5 GB of free disk space , DVD drive for installation ( not necessarily be part of the computer , eg. MacBook Air). Snow Leopard does not support PowerPC -based Macs (eg, Power Macintosh , PowerBook, iBook , iMac (G3 , G4 and G5 ) , eMac and Mac mini prior to 2006). For some specific applications such as H.264 hardware acceleration support in QuickTime and OpenCL are required GPU with unified shader architecture (NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT , GeForce 8800 GT , GeForce 8800 GTS , GeForce 9400M , GeForce 9600M GT , GeForce GT 120, GeForce GT 130. ATI Radeon 4850, Radeon 4870 ).

Analysts say that about 700.000 iPads sold over the holiday weekend - three times more than the iPhone did in 2007. But, as with all the gadgets, the best policy is to wait. prices fell iPhone just months after its release, and the second generation iPhone blew away the first, making my original model seem obsolete.
My Yahoo mail account seemed to work pretty well offline, but the Post Exchange, really needs a connection (as does the iPhone). I like the way the indexes iPad mail messages and contacts with the files from the main screen search. In general, I am quite happy with the iPhone email client. I think it does more than email client for Motorola Droid, for example; While Mac (MacBook Pro 17 inch Battery) and Windows email clients have many options.
The search function app and navigation menu allows you to find the right presentation in the fastest possible time while working in conjunction with file-sharing applications or Bluetooth can allow users to transfer presentations on laptops or desktops.
Even with the large A1057 battery, it is still clear that the Lenovo/IBM Thinkpad X41 Tablet offers very respectable battery life. Lenovo offers some additional utilities that help in this area, a tool Power Manager has a "battery stretch" feature. Enable IBM ThinkPad T60 Battery stretch and you can have sound, networking, and optical drive. We used right choices during the test 40y6799 battery life (ie everything off to test speed, optical drive disabled in all tests, sound mute only for x264 playback control, etc.) to provide the maximum VGP-BPS12 battery life.
The Core I5 will have a clock running at 500MHz graphics up to 766MHz with a Turbo Boost, while the Core i3 runs at 500MHz, but top out at 667MHz. All four chips will support DDR3 memory, come equipped with 3MB of L3 cache, and are rated TDP 35W.
We have not really seen media center PCs evolved much from the Windows Media Centre was opened (only a few vendors, such as Claritas, which are always a good media center PCs). The Acer (Acer BATCL50L battery) Aspire M3800 is no exception: it is stuck with a traditional design PCs that are more suitable for office or bedroom and living room. It is a PC tower with a form factor micro-ATX and even though it has all the features you would need a media center, is a sophisticated PC.
The Panasonic (Sony VAIO VGN-FZ145E) Toughbook CF-19MK3 the water, drop, vibration, dust and temperature resistant to military standards. You can easily use the Toughbook CF-19MK3 at a factory site, where dust and hard flooring are the harbingers of death to mortal laptops, and you can ride on a bumpy van or accidentally left out in the rain without giving you any grief.
Problems of integration and multi-billion lost in the year, AMD has more or less out of action for the past three years, where netbooks - quote half of what a laptop will - became runaway success.
The device port is pretty neat, as the headset is likely to be involved with a mouse or USB drive flash or Inspiron Mini 9 battery, due to the installation of mini-jacks. Connecting a secondary display and wired internet simultaneously can cause some confusion, but this is what the radio on board is there. If you do not want to tangle some headphones, the Latitude C610, the speakers are fine for occasional use - is loud and clear, but too tinny and lightweight to be truly enjoyable.
The display is powered by an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 and has a resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels. We tested and found the screen responds very ands make full use of the embedded software Microsoft TouchPack be an integral part of Windows 7 Home Premium Edition to VGP-BPL5.
Performance-wise, this camera still falls considerably smaller than the HP (HP dv4 Battery) here, rather than have the same CPU and same amount of memory. Office applications will run well, but if you can multi-task or to run more powerful programs, the machine will begin to show deficits.
